FAQ'S
For optimal results, we recommend 3–6 treatments spaced six weeks apart to allow benefits to build and multiply.
Microneedling delivers both immediate and long-term improvements:
- Immediate Effects – A fresh glow and smoother texture within the first week
- Ongoing Improvements – Collagen production continues for up to two years, with peak results between 3–6 months
- First 24 Hours – Avoid touching, washing, or applying products
- First 72 Hours – Avoid direct sun exposure and heat stimulation
- Two Weeks Pre & Post Treatment – Avoid exfoliation or waxing
- Holistic Support – Reduce alcohol, inflammatory foods, and stay hydrated for optimal healing
Microneedling has minimal downtime, but your skin may be red and sensitive for 1-24 hours as your skin experiences an inflammatory response that kickstarts the healing process. After your treatment, a protective hyaluronic acid gel will be applied, which cannot be washed off for 24 hours. As it begins to peel off naturally, your skin may look uneven or flaky until you can rinse it off the next day.
This initial 24-hour period is critical—avoid touching, washing, or applying any products to your skin to allow for proper healing. After this period, you can resume a gentle, nourishing skincare routine
For the first 24 hours, avoid washing your face, applying skincare products, or exposing your skin to heat, sweat, or direct sunlight. After this period, use only gentle, nourishing products to support healing. We also recommend avoiding exfoliants, retinoids, and active treatments for two weeks.
Prioritize skin barrier health by using gentle, nourishing skincare in the weeks leading up to your treatment. Avoid harsh exfoliants, retinoids, or anything that could make your skin more sensitive.
If your skin is sunburned or recently overexposed to UV rays, it’s best to wait. Avoid prolonged sun exposure in the days leading up to your appointment.
Yes, avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and high-dose vitamin E for about a week before treatment. If you are on prescription medications, consult your doctor before making any changes.
Focus on a nutrient-rich diet, stay hydrated, and get plenty of rest. Your skin’s ability to repair and regenerate is influenced by your overall health and wellness.
By following these guidelines, you’ll help your skin respond optimally to microneedling.
